About Blythe
[blahyth]
Blythe is 43, a Military Police Veteran, a proud Johnson County resident, a small business owner of Bargersville Wellness, a political content creator, organizer, activist, and an active member and supporter of many community organizations. Blythe is a mother to her four-year-old, Violet, stepmom to two (now adult) women, and wife of geologist, feminist, democratic candidate, and fellow activist, Michael, for 12 years. Blythe holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Massage Therapy and an MBA, both from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. She is an esthetician, massage therapist, and yoga teacher by trade, but has always been an activist at heart. Blythe has run for two municipal offices in 2023 and 2024, and is the Indiana Chapter Lead for Bitches Get Stuff Done.
Blythe is the White River 09 Precinct Chairwoman, a Hoosier Women Forward, Emerging Leaders Project, Center Grove Ambassadors, and Leadership Johnson County graduate, as well as the recipient of the Diane Black Servant Leadership award in 2023 from LJC.
Blythe enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 2002 due to her love for her country and the values embodied in the Constitution, and considers activism an extension of her oath and service to her state and nation. Blythe fully recognizes that there are significant changes that need to be done with and for the Democratic Party and looks forward to working with Hoosiers to collaborate on what that change looks like by helping connect county parties and members on social media, help counties find a full slate of PCs and VPCs for county parties, and get more Hoosiers to the ballot box. Blythe will seek the Democratic nomination for Secretary of State in 2026, and her top priority as Secretary of State will be to enhance voter education and increase voter turnout for all Hoosiers, regardless of their political affiliation.
